The 'funny-coloured beer' thing seems to be peculiarly American. I've seen countless pictures of drunk 'Oirish' Americans sucking down what looks like normal American lager with green food colouring in it. FFS, be a man and drink a Guinness. Hell, even an Irish cider or a shot of Bushmills.

It's probably illegal to add food colouring to beer in Ireland.
